This is another in my series about color, today being
blue. I was surprised to learn that blue is the overwhelming favorite color. The color of our sky, it is a constant in our lives.
Blue is seen as trustworthy, dependable and committed. It invokes rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming.
Not all blues are serene and calm. Electric blue is dynamic and dramatic. It can express exhilaration.
Blue is the favored color for toothbrushes.
Owls are the only bird that can see the color blue.
People are more productive in blue rooms.
a quote from the artist Paul Gauguin- "If you see a tree as blue, then make it blue."
Mosquitoes are more attracted to blue than any other color.
a woman with strong scholarly interests is often called a
'bluestocking'
